Tema United FC was established in 2009 in the dynamic city of Tema, Ghana, with the primary aim of fostering young talent and providing opportunities for youth development through football.

The club was founded by a passionate football enthusiast committed man and the president of the club by name Mr. Joe Salaam Abubakar who was the 2nd vice chairman of the juvenile committee of the Ghana football Association GFA to empowering youth individuals and nurturing their football skills.

Tema United FC been dedicated to creating a structured environment where young players can develop their physical skills, in 2010 the club joined Division 2 of the Ghanaian football league system gaining valuable experience and exposure, and building a reputation for producing talented players who succeed both locally and internationally in the list 2024/2025 just ended season the club was the Champions in their zone 1 league.
